Jobs Responsibilities:

Experience on Linux, IBM AIX and Sun Solaris platforms.

Experience with designing and Implementing large Oracle 10g databases in High Availability Architecture using Real application Clusters in OLTP and DSS environments.

Experience Installing, administering, upgrading ,capacity planning , performance tuning and maintenance of Oracle 8i/9i/10g databases (ranging from 1gb to 500gb) for Data warehousing, ecommerce, OLTP applications in Production, QA and Development environments.

Experience with monitoring and tuning the database for optimal performance and proactively managing all aspects of Oracle databases i.e. space, users, growth, response, throughput, instance performance.

Skills Required:

Hands-on Oracle 8,9i and 10G DBA
Plan and implement the backup and recovery procedures using Grid Control and RMAN.
Very strong in SQL performance tuning and Database tuning.
Install, Maintain and upgrade Oracle Grid Control 10.2 repository, database and agents.

Certifications
Oracle 10g certified - OCP
Oracle certified RAC expert - OCE
Microsoft Certified DBA - MCDBA

Databases Oracle RAC (8i, 9i, 10g, 11g), MySQL, MS SQL Server.
Programming languages SQL, PL/SQL, Perl, Perl DBI, Shell scripting, Java.
Operating Systems Linux, Unix, Mac OS X, Windows (NT/2000/XP).
Tools Oracle Enterprise Manager, Erwin, Toad, Sql Plus, Sql Developer, Eclipse 3.4, CVS, Subversion 1.5, TortoiseSVN, JIRA, Bugzilla , Plone, Confluence.
Experience with 10g Dataguard and 10g Grid Control
